
It has come to our attention that someone thinks we look like lollipop bears in our new reflective vests (see photograph). We are supposed to look like macho track officials or something to do with the racing, not lollipop bears (Hamish in a huff!).
However, Bill says there are distinct advantages to being lollipop bears - we wouldn't have to start work until we were 65, which is a long way off (we're only 4 now), but we would have to work 5 days a week (minus school holidays). The drawback is that you have to be nice to kids - yeeuchh!
Being a track marshall means you can start work now, but you only work the weekend, and it doesn't feel like work at all. It's also more macho than being a lollipop bear, and you only have to be nice to some kids, like the ones who race ministox.
Difficult decision - we will have to give this more thought.
