F1 Stock Car racing updates

Ok, your cub reporter Hamish MacBear will keep this brief as we know that not everyone who reads this blog is interested in stockcar racing.  So, the latest news is:
  • Andy Smith won the World Final yet again - as Frankie supporters, we were very disappointed but have to applaud Andy for his great achievment.  Frankie was 2nd which, bearing in mind the crap year he has had and that he had no brakes for most of the race, was superb!  Well done, Frankie!
  • Frankie and Daniel had a pretty rubbish time at the World Masters at Northampton on Sunday - both pulled off with mechanical problems.  However, the title was won by the ever popular Paul Hines - congratulations, Paul!  Our little paws got sore clapping him!
  • Frankie has put his tarmac car up for sale - yipee, it never performed as well as his previous car, the iconic spaceframe car which he had his accident in.  Bev is hoping that he is going to build a new tarmac car for the World Final next year and beat the Smiths!  Way to go, Frankie!
  • And finally, Bev and Paul bought us bears beautiful fleeces from a stall at Northampton - on the back, they say "Daddy's Mechanic".  They are so warm, I won't need to hibernate!  Photographs to follow............

Great weekend's racing

Bev, Paul, us bears and Tony the Chimp went to the racing at Coventry on Saturday night and Hednesford on Sunday.  And what a great time we had!  Ok, Saturday night was cold and miserable, and poor Bev was on her own while Paul was a flag-marshal.  Bev is no fan of shale tracks, Frankie didn't have a great night, so we would give that meeting a bit of a thumbs-down if we bears had such things as thumbs.  The marshalling was great, but the rest of the meeting was average.

But Sunday was a different kettle of fish, with Frankie in blistering form and determined to show Stuart Smith Jnr who was really the best driver on the fastest oval track in Europe.  Frankie won both heats but had to pull out of the final with a mechanical problem, so SSJ won.  However, in the Grand National, Frankie was back to his blistering form and won the race.  Frankie may no longer had the silver aerofoil, but he is still the best driver on the track, and if anyone disagrees with us bears, we will get Tony to rip your arms off and beat you to death with them!

Anyway, after that it was a spectacular fireworks display, followed by Reliant Robin racing and banger racing, both of which were actually quite fun.

We didn't get home again until after 10pm, but we had a fun weekend.

Missing knicker elastic!

As promised, I have some interesting gossip about Paul from recent racing events where he was a flag marshal.

Firstly, there was the incident with the missing underpants! He returned home minus any underwear, explaining it as follows - he had to go commando style because his knicker elastic snapped and his underpants started to fall down!

Then, there was the incident where he came back from the racing with "tender nipples", caused by his t-shirt rubbing on his chest!

Do we bears believe these stange tales or do we think we are missing out on some interesting action with the bimbettes at the motor racing! Yup, you've guessed it, we think we are missing out, so we're all off to the racing at the weekend for some snapped knicker elastic and tender nipples :-)
