As we all know, Bev is a bit accident-prone, and this weekend was no exception. On her way to bed, she managed to get her foot caught in her mobile phone cable, and as she tried to walk forward, the cable snapped tight around her foot (a bit like a garotte - more of this later) and she hit the floor with a crash! Oh no, we all cried, envisaging a trip to the hospital in the wee small hours of the morning :-(
Firstly, we were worried about her dodgy knee, but although that had taken a bit of a bashing it was mostly carpet burn and a bit of bruising. Other injuries included a huge bruise on her arm where she had hit a box as she crashed to the ground, another bruise on her bottom and a very painfully garotted foot! Yes, the cable had not only tripped her up, it had cut through the flesh leaving her with a 5" open wound on the top of her foot.
But despite all of this, she was up off the floor (with a bit of help from Paul) and hobbling about in no time, and while her bruised appendages were painful she managed to have a decent night's sleep.
So, with a warning that this photograph is not for the faint-hearted, here is a photograph of Bev's bruise at the top of her arm - it looks as though she has been tattooed by a crazed blind person!
