We have seen the future.....and it is the BBC iPlayer!

Having missed Casualty 1907 on Sunday night because they were faffing, Bev and Paul decided to watch it on the BBC iPlayer. Bev downloaded the software, installed it on her shiny computer, and then downloaded the program, which took about an hour. After tea, they sat down in her computer room to watch the program - with her 22" widescreen monitor and Logitech sound system, it was like being at the cinema though no-one brought round any ice cream or popcorn!

It was brilliant! The picture quality was superb, the sound was awesome and the program was pretty good too. Afterwards, they watched an episode of Top Gear as streaming video rather than downloading it, and it was also very good though the picture quality wasn't quite as sharp.

With the BBC iPlayer, you can watch any program that was shown in the last 7 days either by downloading it or streaming it directly to your PC. If you choose to download a program onto your PC, it will be automatically deleted after 30 days or 6 days after you first watch it.

This is the future! Choose what you want to watch when you want to watch it.

Ok bears and Mr Chimp, what do we want to watch today? And where is that popcorn maker?
