There was more racing at Belle Vue (Manchester) on Easter Monday, but we didn't go as it was too far and too cold. So, we read the results last night on Stoxnet and Allstox, and according to the people at Belle Vue it was an interesting night's racing. Frankie won heats 1 and 2, but the final seems to have been absolute chaos, with only 6 cars crossing the finishing line - Frankie came 3rd in the final behind Andy Ford (1st) and James Neachell (2nd). Someone on Stoxnet said that the result was all the more impressive as Andy Ford's brakes had stopped working and Frankie had bent his steering early in the race!
Sensible racers might have given up when faced with such obstacles, but these men are not sensible - they are mad, but also very brave to race at speeds of over 70 mph with no brakes or wonky steering!
Go, Frankie, go - you are racing brilliantly and collecting lots of points towards your silver roof next year!
Next weekend is Sheffield, but we won't be there, and the following weekend is Paul's debut (hopefully) as a flag marshall at Coventry!
