Sunday was Frankie Wainman Senior's testimonial race at Sheffield, and everyone had a great time despite the horrible weather. It was bitterly cold and very wet, but we hardy fans (especially the ones with fur coats) didn't mind a bit.
The racing was quite slow as the rain had made the track slippy, and eventually the racing was abandoned when part of the track became flooded. But by then we had seen some excellent racing, we had seen Daniel racing in his smart new car, and we had seen Frankie Junior racing in his new silver roof and winning a heat.
Then it was time to head off to the bar for the presentations to Frankie Wainman Senior. We found seats near the DJ and where the presentations were being done, so we had a great time drinking cider, watching the presentations and listening to some brilliant music! What a superb day!
Hightlights of the day included Paul having his photograph taken with Frankie Wainman Senior and Bev getting a kiss from her favourite driver (Frankie Wainman Junior)!
