Ok, here I am in my furry Jeremy Clarkson role of car reviewer. Bev managed to scratch the new car against a fence, so it is now in the garage being fixed and she is driving around in a Ford Style. Well, there is a misnomer if ever there was one. Style - I don't think so! Firstly, it is very plastic and basic inside, the seats are the most uncomfortable she has ever sat on and every time she goes round a corner (more of that later) she feels as though she is going to slide off the seat and fall out the door! The driving seat also feels as though it is pitching you forward into the steering wheel. Mind you, I think the seats are designed for smaller bottoms than Bev's, but they really should be more comfortable. And then there is the handling, especially round corners. Oh dear, the car handles like a dog and going round corners is a horrible experience, with the back of the car drifting out if you corner at any speed! This might be because Bev is used to her sporty car clinging to the road when cornering, but a week of driving this Ford so-called Style is going to turn her into one of those slow and careful drivers - they don't drive like that because they want to, it's because their cars handle like dogs and they have no choice! And talking of dogs, the inside of this car smells as if a damp dog has been living in it! Yeeuuchhhhh! Oh well, it will make her appreciate her own car when she gets it back in a week's time.
Send me your suggestions for a more appropriate name for this car, and the lucky winner will get a hurl in the Ford Style before it is returned to the garage. And don't worry, a sick bag will be provided free of charge.
