Wet, Wet, Wet!

It's Easter Friday so you would expect the weather to be getting warmer and drier, but YOU WOULD BE WRONG!

We all went to the racing at Skegness on Friday, and the weather looked as though it would be ok.  We can't take the bivvy to Skegness as there is nowhere to put it, and it costs £10 to take the car into the stadium, so Bev decided we would be ok with just our seat and jackets.  Boy, was she wrong!  It poured the whole evening, until she was sitting in a puddle of water and she was soaked through to her underwear!  We were all cold and wet, but the racing was fantastic even if only 26 F1 cars turned up.  Thank goodness for the usual bunch of dedicated drivers who come to most meetings - well done guys, we really appreciated that you not only turned up on a cold, wet day but you entertained us with some fab racing!

Anyway, Frankie came 2nd in a heat, 1st in another heat, got put out on the last bend of the final when he was in the lead and was 2nd in the Grand National.  It was all good fun, but we abandoned the racing before the last F2 race because we were just too cold and wet - we rushed back to the car, turned the heater on full and changed into some dry clothing.  Bliss!
