Racing at Kings Lynne

Hardy Paul braved the sleet, hail and bitterly cold winds on Saturday night to watch the racing at Kings Lynn.  Bev stayed at home to keep warm, but we bears joined Paul for a fun night of racing.

Frankie brought his new shale car and he also brought the 240's World Championship trophy for people to see.  Here is a photograph of Frankie's new car and the trophy, with Daniel's car in the background.

Paul said it was quite quiet at Kings Lynn, with only a small number of spectators and drivers - the official racing season doesn't get underway until next Saturday at Coventry, so the points earned at tonight's meeting don't count, and the poor weather probably didn't help.  Also, some drivers don't have their cars ready yet as they have to meet new rules on HANS safety devices for head and neck support.

Roll on next Saturday night for the proper start of the racing season and Paul's first time marshalling in 2009!
