Well, what a year of ups and downs 2008 has been! Here's a review of the highlights of 2008 and what we can look forward to in 2009:
2008:
2008:
- We had a great holiday in Scotland in June. The highlights were seeing and getting decent photographs of puffins and red squirrels.
- Bev mastering the camera and digiscope to get a great shot of Mrs Woodpecker. Bev also saw and got decent photographs of Mr Woodpecker as well as Mr & Mrs Sparrowhawk.
- Bev hurt her knee (torn ligament), and spent months hirpling around on crutches, but it is much better now.
- The racing season has been really entertaining though Frankie has struggled with his new car. He retained his silver roof by winning the National Series and was voted "Driver of the Year 2009" by drivers and fans.
- Daniel won the Novice of the Year award in his first year's racing!
- Paul safely completed his first year of F1 Stock Car marshalling, and thoroughly enjoyed it! He has been asked to marshal again next season, which is brilliant news, especially as one of the 2009 World Final semi's is being held there, and the World Final is there in 2010!
- Paul got Bev the new 160G iPod for her birthday, though she has put so much stuff on it, including photographs, videos, music and audiobooks that she now has less than 75G left!
So, what do we have to look forward to in 2009?
- Hopefully, our humans will keep their jobs during the recession or we bears and Tony will be expected to go out to work, while Kitty will be in charge of finding food!
- The 2009 racing season with Andy Smith in the gold roof, Frankie with the silver roof, Daniel as a superstar driver and a brilliant bunch of talented drivers, whatever their roof colour! Gentlemen, start your engines!
The racing season in 2008 was marred by cold, wet weather, so we wanted to pay a tribute to the tough drivers and mechanics who brave the elements to entertain us!
