Poor Paul - after his horribly wet and dirty night flag-marshalling at Coventry on Saturday, he spent all Sunday morning washing his flags and clothes. Firstly he jet-washed everything out in the garden, then he put it all into the washing machine and washed it twice. And did that remove the shale and dirt? Did it chookie! His clothes and flags are much cleaner than they were, but the shale appears to be embedded in the fabric and everything has a slightly brownish splatter pattern on it! Oh well, never mind - at least he had fun playing with the jet washer, and his yellow, red and green flags are no longer all the same shade of keech (Glaswegian for poo).
