Well, we might have received some funny looks while we we building our bivvy, but once the rain came down like stairrods those looks turned to ones of envy! We were all cozy and dry in our little bivvy, and could watch the racing from the comfort of our chairs - a 2-seater fold-up settee for Bev and Paul, and various little seats for us bears!
And was the racing good? Despite the awful weather, there was quite a good turnout of spectators and drivers, and the racing was as fast and furious as usual. We were treated to Ministox, V8s and the F1s, so there was plenty of entertainment. Frankie was in blistering form, winning his first heat, coming 2nd in the next heat, winning the final and coming 7th in the Grand National from a lap down. Bev was jumping up and down with excitement during the final when Frankie, in 3rd position, managed to squeeze past the two cars in front to take the lead! That man is a star!
