European Weekend and the death of an umbrella!

Help ma boab, but it was cold last weekend at the European final! The Saturday night was very chilly indeed, though we were as warm as toast inside our big fishing umbrella. And Sunday wasn't much warmer, with a strong wind and heavy showers - the combination of the wind and rain was too much for our old fishing umbrella, which blew inside out and left Bev and Paul to face the elements! Not that they minded too much - the racing was great and they were drinking excellent cider (Waitrose own-brand strong dry cider - yummy!).

Frankie and Gordon didn't have a great weekend, but the racing overall was brilliant and everyone had a great time. Congratulations to young gun Daniel Johnston who won the European Championship, and well done to everyone else who entertained the crowed all weekend!

Here is a photograph of us bears and Tony at the Premier Travel Inn at Daventry. We slept in the biggest bed on the planet and had an "eat as much as you want breakfast" in the morning - bliss!
