Ok, the bad marshalling news is that having ordered a set of flags for Paul's birthday, the flags were ready for collection on Saturday but the man had forgotten the poles. DOH! We're not sure how he managed to forget the poles, since the flags are supposed to be rivetted to them, but forget them he did. Both Bev and Paul were a bit disappointed, but they are collecting the flags and poles (paws crossed) on Saturday from Coventry.
The good news is that Paul contacted Incarace, who promote the racing at Northampton (our favourite track), Birmingham Wheels and Hednesford Hills Raceway, and they are interested in volunteer flag marshals. So, very soon, he might be testing his new flags and fireproof underpants at an Incarace track near you :-)
