Paul has made a beautiful bed for Kitty out in the shed, so that he can shelter there if the weather is wet or cold. The bed is made from a wooden box, lined with layers of bubble-wrap and sacking. Paul firmly attached it to the inside wall, approximately half-way up, protecting Kitty from intruders and draughts. So everything is warm and snug in there, and Kitty can come and go as he pleases through a hole in the bottom corner of the shed.
Although Paul has put Kitty in his bed several times recently when leaving for work, we weren't sure if Kitty actually used the bed. However, when Paul went into the shed last night to get something, there was Kitty fast asleep in his little bed - awwwww! However, when Kitty realised we were home, he abandoned his shed bed for the comfort of a knee and some cuddles.
We are all delighted that Kitty is using his shed bed, especially Paul who knows that this will stop those pesky mice from returning to chew through his gardening gloves or, heaven forbid, move back into the house (eeek)!
