What a lovely weekend we had this weekend, basking in the sun in the back garden, drinking cider and relaxing those overworked brain cells (Bev's, not mine). We should have been at the racing at Skegness all weekend, but as Paul was on call, we decided to have a relaxing weekend at home instead. Not that Paul relaxed - he went out to work, then painted the front door in brilliant white - wow, it looked gorgeous when he had finished!
Bev, on the other paw, unwound after her stressful week at work - she sat out in the back garden listening to her iPod, relaxing both body and mind. She was so relaxed that the birds hopped around very close to her seat, but unfortunately not close enough for a snackette either for myself or Kitty. And talking of Kitty, he lay in the sunshine so long that you could have fried an egg on his fur! Help ma boab, but that cat knows how to soak up the heat!
So, in one month we have gone from snow and freezing temperatures to being hotter than most of the resorts on the continent - not bad, eh! If this is global warming, we're not complaining!
