Good Friday - it must be Skegness!

Yup, it's that time of year again - it was Good Friday, so it must be Skegness. Frankie unveiled his revamped tarmac car, complete with revamped engine which he had only fitted that morning before driving from Yorkshire to Skegness. He came second in his heat, then won the next heat. He said the car had needed a little tweaking between heats, but goodness knows what he did to the car between the last heat and the final, because he came out in utterly blistering form and was in the lead by about half-way through the race! He comfortably won the race and went on to come 8th in the Grand National from a lap down. What a great night's racing, not only from the F1s, but also the F2s (including Gordon Moodie all the way from Fife) and the ministox.
Next racing is next weekend at Northampton and Wimbledon. We're counting down the days on our paws already....
Bev and Paul are skipping the Coventry meeting tonight to go out for a meal to celebrate Bev's birthday and passing her exam, and they are taking us to the Trattoria Vecchia too. Yum Yum!
