New Car

Well, here is the new car in all its glory. Is it not a thing of beauty? We think so - it is beautiful outside and inside, and we love it to bits. I think Bev and Paul are also very pleased with it.

They collected it at 9.30am on Saturday, and the handover went well apart from two minor glitches - Bev forgot to take the MOT certificate for the old car (actually she couldn't find it - doh!) and the iPod cable didn't work. After some fiddling with the cable and iPod, it turned out that the cable had been installed but it needs to be configured. The car has been booked to go back to the garage next week so that the iPod can be configured to work with the radio - until then, Mrs McGadget will just have to listed to CDs or the radio, like the rest of us non-gadgety people and bears!

And here we are out for our first ride in the car. We slid around on the leather seats a bit when Paul was burning rubber going round corners, but none of us had an accident on the back seat or were thrown onto the floor (we held on with our claws).
Oh, and the man at the garage said we don't have to run the car in, we can go out and burn rubber from day 1! Brilliant, so Bev doesn't have to drive to Penrith at 40 mph!
