Our humans decided not to go to Skegness this weekend, as the drive back meant we wouldn't get home until the wee small hours of the morning - bum! Anyway, we checked the results from Stoxnet to discover that Frankie came 6th in the final, 2nd in the Grand National and Andy Smith rolled his car (Bill, it sounds like that trip wire we rigged up for Andy's car worked - he he)!
But it gets worse - our humans are not going to the racing this coming weekend either (they're going to eat a yummy Italian lunch instead with friends) and the following weekend they are going to the Pippin Playgroup Quiz Night instead of going to Northampton!!!!! We never miss Northampton! Sorry Paul and Bev, but us bears will just have to go to Northampton without you - anyway, none of the questions will be bear-friendly (such as questions on Winnie the Pooh and Sooty Bear) so we probably couldn't answer them. The family do quite well as a team - Ian and Paul on the technical / practical questions, Andy and Scott on the film, TV and music questions, Yvonne and Karen on general and children's questions (like where does Fireman Sam live) and Bev with questions on literature and history - which just about covers everything, really, except sport. And although Bev & Paul know lots about F1 stock car racing, I don't think they'll get asked many questions about it, do you? They're much more likely to get asked questions about boring sports like football or cricket (yeeuchhhh!)Mind you, they will need to answer the questions before they consume too much cider / beer / wine, otherwise they get all giggly and forgetful (though Paul is like that even without a cider - he he! Bill - you leave my human alone, he's alright!).
Good luck to them, but we'll be going to Northampton to cheer on Frankie (and set up more trip wires for his opponents).
